Lightweight Summer Shrug | Fashion

This is a very lightweight and comfy oversized shrug that is perfect for summer.

Lightweight summer shrug that is very easy and breezy to work up!

One size fits most, with instructions to make it bigger in the pattern.

Gauge - 7 repeats of the main pattern to get 4". If you have any questions, please contact me.

I used Simply Soft by Caron in Coffee Latte Brown but I also like "I Love This Yarn!" in Tweed by Hobby Lobby.

I used about 5 skeins of the Caron yarn.

Make sure it fits:

Fold shrug in half as shown in the diagram below, pin or clip sides 7 inches below the fold for armholes. Put the shrug on to make sure it fits comfortably; if it is too tight or just doesn’t fall the right way, add more rows until it fits the way you want. Fasten off & weave in yarn.

Whipstitch side seam up to 7 inches from the fold on both sides. (See diagram) Weave in yarn.

Right side facing, join yarn to side edge and hdc in ea st around marking 1st hdc, as follows: 1 sc in ea hdc row, 2 sc in ea dc row.

Do not sl st to join, continue to hdc in a spiral for 2 more rounds, fasten off and weave in all ends. All finished!
